Istanbul Airport at the top of Europe with 1,401 flights
European Air Navigation Safety Organisation (Eurocontrol) announced the air traffic data for 15-21 May. Accordingly, Istanbul Airport became the busiest airport in Europe with an average of 1,401 daily flights during this period.
In the Air Traffic Operations 15-21 May statistics published by EUROCONTROL, Istanbul Airport ranked at the top with 1,401 daily flights. Istanbul Airport was followed by Amsterdam Schiphol and London Heathrow airports with an average of one thousand 330 and one thousand 302 flights per day, respectively.
